Dr Ausha De Silva
Ausha is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He completed his training in the Northwest of England and then worked as a substantive Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at NHS Highland, UK before moving to New Zealand. Ausha has been working as a Senior Medical Officer at Hutt Valley DHB since 2018.

Ausha is calm and caring. He is experienced in all aspects of pregnancy care. He works with you to ensure you and your baby receive the best possible care in a supportive environment.

Ausha lives in Ngaio with his wife and two daughters. He is a keen amateur wildlife photographer and also a fitness and nutrition enthusiast.

Dr Gemma Nightingale
Gemma trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK working in large tertiary hospitals in the south of England. She moved to New Zealand with her family in 2020 and works as a Senior Medical Officer at Hutt Valley DHB.
​
Gemma enjoys building a friendly but professional relationship with patients' throughout their pregnancy and works with them to achieve a safe and relaxed birthing experience. She is passionate about delivering high quality, individualised care.
​
Gemma enjoys spending time at the beach and tramping with her husband and two children. She loves to bake and is determined to master meringues one day.
